Duties / Responsibilities of Editors
The editors of Journal of Plant Development Sciences take the responsibility to ensure high-quality scientific publications that meet standards of academic excellence and to implement an exact peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards in the field of academic publication. In case of an ethical issue all requisite action is taken. Ethical issues that might be raised by readers of the journal will be examined by the editorial office following procedures in line follow COPE guidelines as defined by the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE).
Duties / Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected not to mention a manuscript or refer to the work it describes before it has been published. Reviewer should intentionally adopt a positive, impartial attitude towards the manuscript and if reviewer believes that you cannot judge the article impartially, please return the article immediately to the editor. Reviews should be completed quickly within 20-30 days. If you know that you cannot finish the review within time, please inform to the editor. A reviewer should not discuss about the article with its any author. In comments intended for the author’s, criticism should be presented objectively and rude comments avoided. Reviewer suggestions and criticism concerning the article will be useful to the editor and author if they are carefully documented. At least two review reports are collected for each submitted article. You are not requested to correct any mistake/ mistakes in grammar, but any help in this regard will be appreciated. Article will be considered for publication only on the recommendation from referees. The Editor-in-Chief gratefully receives a reviewer’s recommendations but given that the editorial decisions are usually based on evaluations derived from several sources, a reviewer should not expect the editor to credit his every recommendation.
