Abstract : The present experiment wascarried out during kharif season of 2010 at the Instructional cum Research Farm (Bharri), IGKV, Raipur (C.G) on clayey (Vertisols) soil. The experiment was laid out as factorial randomized block design with three replications. The results revealed that various growth parameters and yield attributing characters were highest with the application of 100% RDF + FYM 5 t ha-1 + DAP 2% foliar spray twice at flowering and at 15 days interval + PSB + NAA 40 ppm foliar spray at 30 and 40 DAS (F7). The highest energy output and output: input ratio were also recorded under the application of 100% RDF + FYM 5 t ha-1 + DAP 2% foliar spray twice at flowering and at 15 days interval + PSB + NAA 40 ppm foliar spray at 30 and 40 DAS (F7).
